For those that I may offend I don't know where a previous thread on this topic is but I'm driving to Idaho tomarrow to see Alter Bridge tomarrow and I really want to meet them. I was just wondering if anyone's met them or had any tips on what to do, thanks a ton-

Get there early, and stay late. It's that easy. Find the buses after the show and hang around.

I had a little incident at the Boise show which I want to share. I want to stress that I am not upset at the band. I think it was a lack of communication somewhere.
I got backstage passes from the former drummer of Ugly Kid Joe in exchange for letting his son go in front of me. After awesome performances from AA and AB, I waited with the other people with backstage passes. Whitfield Crane and Shannon Larkin from AA came out and signed autographs. Very gracious. After waiting awhile the security guard told us that AB were getting in their bus and leaving. We rushed to the back and saw Brian Marshall. I got his autograph but Myles, Mark, and Flip had already signed autographs and left. I was very disappointed.
I think I am more upset with the venue than the band because I think the venue neglected to inform them that there were fans with backstage passes waiting to meet them. I know that the guys would not snub their fans. Next time I am going to wait by the bus like I should have done in the first place.

Yeah, sounds like a communication breakdown somewhere. I've always found that for the most part, I would rather be outside with no backstage pass than inside wondering what's going on and where the band is. If you are by the bus, there's no way they are going to get from the venue to their "home away from home" without going past you to get there. Always feels more safe that way, but I have been burned a few times by rushing out to fast.

I dont think Backstage passes means shit after the show! before the show is when they would come in handy. If you read all the other threads on this then you would have realized that AB comes out after the show to sign autographs. Its really not the Bands or the Venues fault.

No they do not sell backstage passes. One there is no reason for them because like James said just find the buses. 2 I really wouldnt want to be backstage before the show because I would feel in the way.

I have met AB after a show before. I guess I thought meeting them backstage after a show would have been awesome. Never been backstage before. I am not upset at the band as they remain my favorite group. Brian Marshall was a class act as always.

The most common way to get a backstage pass is to win them from a local radio contest.
